YOUR HEALTH, UNDERSTOOD IN FULL
The Praxis Comprehensive Health Assessment
An advanced, physician-led evaluation combining individualized laboratory analysis, cardiovascular assessment, and preventive screening — delivered by the physician who already knows your story.
The Praxis Comprehensive Health Assessment (PCHA) is an extended, individually designed evaluation for patients who want to understand not just where their health stands today — but where it is headed.
It combines advanced laboratory analysis, cardiovascular and metabolic evaluation, targeted preventive screening, and an extended physician consultation — all shaped around your personal history, family risk factors, and long-term goals.
Unlike one-day institutional programs, the PCHA is built and interpreted by the physician who already knows you. Every test has a clinical reason. Every result is reviewed in context. And every finding is translated into a clear, actionable plan.
“The goal is not more data. It is the right information, in context, from a physician who knows your story.”
— Dr. Andrew Adams, MD, Founder & Medical Director
Five Components.
One Integrated Assessment.
Each element of the PCHA is selected and interpreted by your physician — not applied as a standard protocol.
-
Labs That Go Where Standard Tests Don't.
All specimens collected via white-glove mobile phlebotomy at a location of your choosing. Testing is performed through a certified reference laboratory. The panel is individualized to your clinical profile and includes:
Cardiovascular & Lipid Health
Lipid panel, NMR lipoprofile (particle size and number), ApoB, Lp(a), hsCRP, Lp-PLA2, myeloperoxidase, homocysteine, omega-3/6/9
Metabolic & Endocrine
Comprehensive metabolic panel, fasting glucose and insulin, HbA1c, uric acid, full thyroid panel (TSH + free T3/T4), DHEA-S, testosterone (free and total), estradiol where appropriate
Blood, Immunity & Nutrition
CBC with differential, ferritin, vitamin D, urinalysis, additional markers selected per individual risk profileOrgan-Specific & Cancer Markers
PSA (men), liver panel, Pap/hrHPV co-test (women), additional markers as clinically indicated -
Beyond a Lipid Panel.
The PCHA incorporates a structured cardiovascular risk assessment using advanced markers and, where appropriate, preventive imaging. Imaging studies are selected based on individual risk profile — not applied to everyone.ASCVD 10-year risk calculation, advanced lipid particle analysis, inflammatory cardiovascular markers, insulin resistance assessment
Preventive Imaging (by referral, for appropriate candidates)
Coronary Artery Calcium (CAC) scoring — ACC/AHA endorsed baseline tool for subclinical atherosclerosis; Carotid intima-media thickness (CIMT); Ankle-brachial index (ABI)***Imaging is coordinated through Praxis partner facilities. A referral and scheduling are managed by your physician.
-
Guideline-Based. Individually Applied.
Cancer screenings are reviewed and coordinated as part of the PCHA, tailored to your age, sex, family history, and risk profile. Applicable screenings are incorporated or coordinated with specialist partners.
Colorectal (Cologuard or colonoscopy, ages 45+), breast (mammography, women 40+), cervical (Pap/hrHPV), prostate (PSA with shared decision-making), lung (low-dose CT, high-risk patients), skin (clinical exam with dermatology referral when appropriate)
Optional: Multi-Cancer Early Detection Blood Test
A single blood draw capable of detecting signals from more than 50 cancer types — including many not captured by conventional screening. Based on the Galleri platform (GRAIL), which demonstrated a more than seven-fold increase in cancer detection in a 35,000-participant study when added to standard screening. Available as an optional add-on for appropriate candidates.
-
An Exam That Takes Its Time.
A comprehensive head-to-toe physical assessment performed by your physician — not a technician, not a delegated clinical staff member. Includes body composition, vital signs, vision and hearing screening, skin cancer exam, gender-specific exams as appropriate, and cognitive screening where indicated
-
Results Reviewed With You. Not Sent to You.
This is what separates the PCHA from any institutional program. Results are not mailed or handed over in a report — they are reviewed in a dedicated consultation with your physician. Together, you discuss findings in plain language, identify priorities, and build a forward-looking care strategy.
You receive a written Personalized Health Summary — a clear, actionable document outlining key findings, risk assessments, and a prioritized plan for prevention, monitoring, and long-term health.
From First Conversation to Final Report.
A straightforward, personally coordinated process — managed by your physician from start to finish.
Step 01
Schedule Your Assessment
Contact Praxis to discuss which components are appropriate for you. Your physician will guide the decision before any testing is ordered.
Step 02
Pre-Visit Preparation
You receive a health history questionnaire and fasting instructions. Mobile phlebotomy is scheduled at your home, office, or another convenient location.
Step 03
Lab Draw & Screening Coordination
Step 04
Physician Review
Step 05
Extended Consultation
Step 06
Your Personalized Health Summary
A mobile phlebotomist collects your specimen. Any additional imaging studies are coordinated with Praxis partner facilities — scheduling handled for you.
Your physician reviews all results before your consultation — not during it. This ensures the meeting is focused on insight and planning, not data.
A dedicated, unhurried conversation with your physician to review findings, discuss what they mean, and determine next steps together.
A written summary of key findings, risk assessments, and a prioritized action plan — yours to keep and share with any specialist or treating provider.
